Individual therapy

Individual psychotherapy is an important part of the treatment.

How individual therapy works

During individual therapy, the patient can talk to a practitioner in complete confidentiality. In this way, the practitioner empathically supports the patient and offers space to talk about difficult topics.

What is achieved with the individual interviews?

The aim of the individual interviews is:

Underlying factors underlying the addiction, such as trauma, to discover;

Motivate the patient's abstinence;

Changing behavior to reduce the risk of relapse.

To increase the patient's insight into his addiction and to discuss the effect of the addiction.

Stimulate self-esteem. Being happy with yourself is an important part of recovery.

The conversations in Castle Craig are conducted according to a fixed structure developed by our psychiatrist.
